EU Public Procurement Directive
The Commercial and Procurement Directorate is sponsoring training on the EU Public Procurement Directive for procurement professionals in the Scottish public sector. It helps to support the 2006 McClelland Review of Procurement which recommended that every procurement professional in the public sector should attend annual EU training.
Introduction to EU Public Procurement Directive Training
The Introduction course will be aimed at staff who are required to understand the EU procurement directives but have little or no previous experience and knowledge. The course will be delivered through an online training site and will cover:
- Introduction to the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as amended)
- Key principles and procedures in the Regulations
- Key stages in the procurement process
- Selection and evaluation criteria
- Framework agreements
- Review procedures, remedies and enforcement
- Best practice and risk management
