Policy Forum and Best Practice Working Group
The
McClelland Report identified the need for central leadership on procurement policy and to this end, the Scottish Procurement Directorate (SPD) had established a Policy Forum and a separate Best Practice Working Group (BPWG).

Best Practice Working Group
Thr group's terms of teference are being finalised.
A number of short life sub-groups covering subject-specific areas relating to procurement best practice have been created:
- Procurement Capability Assessment
- Contract Management
- Toolkit review
- Frameworks and Contracts
To ensure universities and colleges have the opportunity to contribute to the sub-groups, anyone wishing to express interest in becoming involved should contact Steve Connor.
