Policy Forum and Best Practice Working Group

The McClelland Report identified the need for central leadership on procurement policy and to this end, the Scottish Procurement Directorate (SPD) had established a Policy Forum and a separate Best Practice Working Group (BPWG).

The outputs from the quarterly forums are available for download below.
Representatives from universities and colleges were invited to comment on the draft Policy Handbook and Participation Agreement. You can download the consolidated responses here (129.5kb).

Best Practice Working Group
 
Thr group's terms of teference are being finalised.
 
A number of short life sub-groups covering subject-specific areas relating to procurement best practice have been created:
  • Procurement Capability Assessment
  • Contract Management
  • Toolkit review 
  • Frameworks and Contracts

To ensure universities and colleges have the opportunity to contribute to the sub-groups, anyone wishing to express interest in becoming involved should contact Steve Connor.
